3:00 pm on Sunday. We sit, pray and then open the meeting. The great thing about our group is that even though we were all out ‘till well past our bedtimes last night (#masquerade ball), we still look damn good. The whole "us being sober" thing may have something to do with this.
Liz (Grapevine Chair) has literally filled the back of the room with costumes including, but not limited to: a furry bunny rabbit, a pirate, a trashbag mumu and a horsehead. One can only wonder...what does she do with these things the other 362 days of the year?
It's been just about a month since the 54th ICYPAA in St. Louis...are you over your PCD (post-conference depression) yet?! It can be hard adjusting back to regular life after a weekend full of spiritual highs, intense gratitude, and round-the-clock bonding with fellow alcoholics. But the recovery, serenity, and energy that conferences like ICYPAA provide can last throughout the year, as long as we keep working our program, one day at a time.
